# Settings

The **Settings** menu in the left sidebar holds product-wide options. Each item is shown only if your role has the listed permission. The menu itself is hidden when you have none of them.

| [Roles & Permissions](/forestall/settings/roles-and-permissions.md) | `ReadRolesAndPermissions` | Roles, their permissions and policy-based scan access.                     |
| [Audit Logs](/forestall/settings/audit-logs.md)                     | `ReadLogConfig`           | Where audit logs are written (file and/or syslog).                         |
| [Report](/forestall/settings/report.md)                             | `ReadReportSettings`      | Branding and options for generated scan reports.                           |
