# Summary

The `Summary` page contains the statistics of the Credential Discovery scan results. You can examine the results between scans with the timeline graph.

### Credential Discovery Scan Based Statistics

Visualizes important data related to scan operations performed over a specific time period. The period is selected in the upper-right corner: `Last Week`, `Last Month`, `Last 2 Months`, `Last 3 Months`, `Last Year`, or a custom range picked with the calendar (shown as `Custom`). No legend appears on the chart; series names below it appear in the tooltip when hovering over a point.

* **Number of Accessed Machines:** Indicates the number of machines scanned successfully.
* **Total Machines:** Indicates the number of all [Online](/forestall/introduction/glossary/glossary.md#online) machines in the Active Directory.
* **Number of Scanned Files:** Indicates the number of files processed.
* **Total Scanned MB:** Indicates the total amount of data processed in megabytes (MB).
* **Total Matches:** Indicates the number of matches that meet the defined regexes.

### Charts

The pie charts show the Credential Discovery scan results for the [Selected Scan](/forestall/introduction/glossary.md#selected-scan-current-scan). The **Scan Status** reflects the current lifecycle of a scan. While the scanner is actively enumerating, the status is **Running**. Once execution ends, the status switches to one of two terminal values. **Completed successfully** means the scanner finished without an error. **Completed with errors** means the scan reached completion but hit at least one error that did not halt the overall process. The status is followed by the progress of the scan as scanned machines out of all machines, for example `4/4 (100%)`. If the selected scan has no Credential Discovery data, the line reads "No data available on current scan".

When the scan is not running, the **Download** menu on the right of the same line offers:

* **Report (PDF):** The Credential Discovery report of the selected scan.
* **Report Package (ZIP):** An archive with the PDF report, an HTML version of the report, the secrets exported as an Excel file and a README.

{% hint style="info" %}
With a trial licence the **Download** button is locked ("Credential discovery reports come with a full licence").
